I’m always up for a fun photo project and so I volunteered to help put together a slide show for LSG’s team banquet. Somehow I got the idea that I wanted to create a “trading card” for each girl. I browsed around on Shutterstock and iStockphoto, but I couldn’t find exactly what I wanted. After doing some googling I stumbled upon Starr Cards. (FYI, this isn’t a sponsored post)
Starr cards is actually an iPad ap that is super cute and super easy to use and customize. If I had a few more hours in my day I would have preferred to practice my Photoshop/Illustrator skills, but Starr Cards made it almost ridiculously easy and the result is awesome if I do say so myself.
You can create the front and back of the card for each kid. It’s amazing that LSG scored 90 goals in 2012 isn’t it? Ha-Ha. Quite impressive for a defender. It seriously took me less than 5 minutes per card (especially since I made up all the stats) and I think they came out so cute! I made a little booklet for LSG’s team and gave one to each of the girls. I printed out the cards at CVS and then punched a hole and put them on a book ring. It was a fun little gift for all of them.
Starr Cards is available in the Ap store for $2.99 and has cards for all different sports. The coolest ones are an in ap purchase for $1.99, but you can create as many cards as you want using that style. They also offer printing options which look great, but could get pricy.
I thought you might want to know about this fun ap!
What a great idea! I’ll have to volunteer a parent on my team to do the same 🙂
